    Beartooth Pass conditions?

The ‘Tooth’s are full of snow and skiing pretty darn soft, as of Thursday.

Myself and Nest, along with Mrs. Nest, had a ski along some east facing aspects of the Gardiner Headwall on Wednesday and Thursday.

The coverage was great, but I found the snow to be really manky in the afternoon (duh).

Just saw on the Facebook page for the basin, that they will be open tomorrow for Father’s Day!

Nice work Superior and the Nests! Everyone wants to know what it's looking like.

Coverage looks great, a week of a few peeps shaving off the top layer and it should be excellent by the weekend.
This may be quite the shindig as a group of J-locs are already gearing up for next weekend.
Lindenle - Are you planning on going up?
Baby Bear - Holla at me if yer going up, need anything, or wanna connect...

S_Jenks - you and pops are welcome to camp in our zone if ya like plenty of space to pitch away from the festivities. And the creek drowns out all but the loudest partiers.

Same, plan on being out there Friday afternoon. Unsure if we will be camping with the group or out off a FS road.

Also, anything above the basin and on the plateau is still under 2 feet of snow ... for camping reccos, I’d stay near the bottom of the pass on Montana side

Not to worry mags, getting to tha beartooth is somehow always a challenge.

At it's best, mindblowing. At least, usually an adventure. Still a pretty raw experience (despite the Poma).
Hiking the Tundra plateau over to RC Coolie is an amazing view. I am amped now. My knee just clicked in agreement.
    -wax for wet snow
-maybe cold/wet camping. Bring firewood if ya got sum. I got some cut ends from a deck project last fall.

H- was sure hoping to party witchu Saturday evening though. Soon we'll have to go slay some like last summer. And plan yer big JH weekend w/mags galore. Next trip. Sweets for Gigi.
SA - see ya when we do, mag. Safety to ya.

Now that really sucks, as I have access to an unlimited amount of cut and split firewood. (Thanks to my condo association )

Packed ready to go long drive tomorrow with big reward at the finish. Looking forward to getting down with the Basin and meeting up with a few mags for the Bash-in.

    Beartooth Pass conditions?

Bummer. Even if the roads are open the pass is SUPER sketch in white out conditions. Buddy and I got disoriented looking for a pitch to ski and damn near walked off a huge cliff. We followed our tracks back to the truck and tried to smoke the rest of our weed.

Just saw on Facebook that the pass is now closed at the state line. MDT and Wyoming DOT sites are your best bets for updates (but I wouldn't expect the NPS to bother clearing the Wyoming side until the weather clears).

It’s snow at 4,800 ft. here in Bozeman, and the weather is pretty nasty.

I am going to keep my eyes on the conditions and shoot for a Saturday or Sunday mission if the pass looks open.

I expect its blizzard conditions in the high country as of now!
