Must have watched Moonraker recently. That said, each major division of the us military already has a space war operations department. Lockheed Martin and Raytheon supply top secret weaponry to them.

I wonder what these guys think about it? http://www.afspc.af.mil/
Then again, the USAF used to be the Army Air Corps (USAAC), then briefly the Army Air Forces (USAAF) before they finally went ahead and created the Chair Force. Maybe we're seeing a similar spinoff happening?

What about OST and PAROS, like Demilitarisation of Space? Was US anymore part of any concord?
A brief shootout in the orbit would fuck humanity over like no other incident.
I rather have few nukes detonated in appropriate places than a bang-bang-fest in space..
The floggings will continue until morale improves.

Trump must have watched "Starship Troopers." When he saw that shower scene with the men and women all showering together he was like "we need that." It's going to be almost as good as when he used to walk around backstage at the Miss Universe pageant.

Let's build a space wall and make the Klingons pay for it!

Tough to say what you would want to put under Space Force.
I doubt they are getting anything from Strategic Command which pared off Global Strike from Space.
If you look at what is under Space Command right now, its mostly about monitoring space/launches/satellites, protecting friendly satellites, and perhaps attacking unfriendly satellites.
Perhaps they will build a space station call the Battle School and send intelligent youngsters there? Listening to Trumps announcement, he might think so. Is it me or his ability to speak getting worse and worse by the month?Originally Posted by blurred

I am sure glad to hear that the new space force will be separate but equal.

Would this "Space Force" allow a MTF transsexual to sign up?
Asking for a friend.

yeah the "separate but equal" remark was way over the line imo. first let's talk about what are ostensibly the domains of the existing military branches. army: just the land, small, yawn. coast guard: water near the land? bigger. navy: all the oceans, most of the earth, pretty cool. air force: all the damn sky, way cooler. space force? it's insulting to our future space warrior astronaut soldiers to talk about them as being equal, and with all due respect mister president i demand a retraction and apology

really no matter what criteria you use, the rankings come out the same. army: arms, big deal. coast guard: coast is pretty cool. navy: one of the best colors, maybe the very best? top tier armed forces branch. air force: we need air to breathe, and birds fly in it, easily the coolest so far. then space force, don't even get me started. so I'm really taking issue this "separate but equal" quip.
you'll notice i've omitted marines, as they are closely related to submarines they're really a subset of the navy, but for guys who can't swim (pretty sure on this one), not impressed, down there with coast guard imo
