That may be it. The entire rental fleet at Sundance is Rossi bikes this year.

Yet Rossignol's uniqueness appears to closely resemble Felt's...maybe even making them "un-unique."

    Just buy a Felt.
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

Rossi appears to have a linkage on the chainstay near the rear axle... a la Horst?

One of those bikes sure looks to be stiffer than the other. And it's not the Rossi.

Anyone know anything about Rossignol Bikes?

Snapped a few pics of the bike while I was cleaning it up to give it back. Tried to show the suspension linkage since there was some speculation.

Not sure if anyone cares but they’ll be here for posterity.

Edit: it killed me that I couldn’t remove the reflectors or the dork disk.

one ^^of the google hits, I duno about the rest of you dentists but personaly I would rather Rossi were shleping rebranded Felts than whatever they have cooked up

so it looks to me like they are choosing to market their line thru an on-line presence which I supose is the way things are going but there is not much info out there online so WTF ?
I stopped into a small bike shop in NH recently that was selling these, so they're not just sold online. The shop owner told me the same thing - these are NOT Felt bikes, but are designed by some of the same engineers who designed Felt's line. The guy also said he rents/demos many of them, and that his customers have good things to say.

Felt uses something similar to Trek's ABP, I believe. That Rossi has a Horst link.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

Maybe some stores are selling Rossi bikes but its obviously an unestablished B brand

which means any shop selling Rossi is doing so cuz they couldn't get any of the A brands

The more established stores in town will have the A brands sewn up

That Felt sure looks like a single-pivot?

"'Felt Active Stay Technology,' or F.A.S.T. The modified single-pivot system relies on flexing carbon seatstays instead of a pivot."

    Come on, Felt.

So, I'm the only one who thinks it bares a striking resemblance to the Fuji FSR-licensed bikes from half a dozen or so years back? Take away some of the more modern bling and fancy shapes and:

The felts are just a basic 4 bar with a flex pivot. Not too different than what Cannondale, Yeti, and Marin have done at various times. It's a little lighter than a traditional pivot, and maybe a little stiffer if done right, but it tends to sacrifice some small bump suppleness. Either way, probably better than felt's old 6 bar design.

I'm guessing the rossi forgoes it because getting the flex stay manufactured correctly is probably a good bit more expensive than just going with a generic horst link pivot that doesn't demand any special tubing or particularly tight tolerances.
