    I need Small Help tonight

Hello friends and non-friend readers alike.

I had a steroid injection into my spine today, the last one of these I was warned about depression and did feel organically depressed for some amount of time (few days?).

I'm feeling it. I'm fine, but everything looks awful like this. People say get help...that's Big Help. Big Help probably diagnoses me out of my profession and bankrupts me and wife, if wife can deal with the Big Help program. Big Help is an 800 number with a well meaning Christian on the other end.

So, for these few days of roughing it with a chemical depressant pushing me the wrong way, I wonder if you have any Small Help.... i.e. is there anything you have to post or watch or read or anything that helps one ford the valley of darkness?

I'm supposed to take it easy here. I have netflix, I have cable. Again, no crisis, just feel rotten and I'd like to think you funny fucks have something for me.
    thx.

I don't have much to offer but am sure you'll push through. Always darkest before the dawn or some shit.

Maybe listen to some doors music and you'll see it ain't as bad as what was going on in Mr Morrison's mind.

    I need Small Help tonight

I recently had a c-spine steroid injection. Unfortunately not much relief. I’ve moved on to Gabapentin. Not really helping yet. Might be going for a 2nd injection.

I however am looking forward to cycling and running very soon

Boost of movement will help immeasurably

    Have you found this?

I hope you feel better soon

Yeah, that was the one you missed. If you are looking for a Netflix program, check out Godless. A 10 episode miniseries and probably the Neflix Original program I've enjoyed the most. Plus it's a Western vs some metaphysical crap about if god exists or not. I hope you feel better.

    Dog or cat sessions.
    Whatever exercise you can muster.

A movie about a man who thinks he's lost it all, but then some small, insignificant shit happens.

I read the book ^^^ during a rough interval and liked it.

    I find flyover movies relaxing.

Sorry to hear, J. I have no insight, but maybe just hug your lady and ride it out if you're worried about professional repercussions. Not sure how your employer would find out if your doc refers you to a specialist, but again - just my opinion.

Oh, and go surfing if physically able.

Pfft,, Sounds like it's a lot less hassle just to continue to be in so much pain I can't put on shoes or socks without sitting down..

    South Park?

I love a small time documentary about a farmer in Vt. but he's depressed and talks about suicide but for some reason I've watched it a few times even when down myself. It's on Netflix: Peter and the Farm.

some of this is probably just having to take it easy for a bit.

It's no-wave season, so I've been dh longboarding. Skateboarding downhill, it appears to be a fine, fine line between satisfying the adrenaline demon and doing something that may cripple me. I've been trying to keep the demon down

This one's sappy, but I'm not sure what your tastes are.

I’m thinking, but I’m coming up dry. I want to have something for you, because I like you. I’ll work on it.
