Here's what we know for sure: There's not nothing. Beyond that it's all wishes and hopes.

Gawd Schmawd, there is one supreme force, Space/Time. The rest is silly humans trying to remain unafraid of the dark.

Thanks for the cartoons, I am re-posting them to the local CL in hopes of driving the religious nutballs even crazier.

Of course that's as dogmatic as the virgin birth. It's just a smaller club that believes it.

Which one? The supreme force or afraid of the dark?

And in the end all that matters is what each of us believe.

Or maybe the love you take is equal to the love you make? Or something like that.

    Justify atheism. Please

Lets rewind this whole thread and restart by having Coreshot “justify” theism.

Why afirm the existence of anything beyond your limited bizzare self?

    Hard to dispute that.

Going for a bike ride 1st and the beers on the back deck while I ponder the geology of the Bridger Range.

    Right over your head.
    Are you not following along?
It’s now called agnostic atheism. Which is fine.

So to rephrase the original question.

    I say justify “gnostic atheism”

That was my original question. I just didn’t understand the nuanced jive talk of today’s utes.

As usual you just set up a strawman and took swings. But never anchored the argument with any actual stances yourself.

What do you suppose deference to the supernatural's track record is thus far? 0/500,000+ ? Like has there been an instance of "well, it looks like the super natural takes the win here. Moving on." ? Every single assertion, claim and reason has proven wrong; the believer just moves the claim to one step beyond what science just proved.

    I already justified it.

There is no objective proof ever, of any god ever. Not knowing how something happened just means we do not know, it does not mean we make up a story to explain something when we simply do not know. If you have objective quantifiable evidence of god, I will not have to believe in said god, I will just acknowledge the existence of said god.

With that said we have explained many of mysteries based on observations, lack of understanding on of those observation or scientific theories(which is not "theory" like in "conspiracy theory" ) does not mean that a "god" had to do it, it just means you do not understand the scientific method.

So if you can reply with any evidence at all I am all ears. I would personally love for their to be power higher than us, but all evidence based on the understanding of human history pointing to no. Considering no one has ever done in my 10+ years of being a "militant" Gnostic Atheist online and about 30 years of being an atheist, not single person has ever been able to say anything that can stand up to rational scrutiny but maybe your the first.
