Much ado about nothing. How many biopics have used actors to voice the subjects words? It’s really not much different and the outrage seems contrived.

I'm kinda in that camp. I mean, Tupac performed at Coachella and he's been dead for years. No one threw a fit about that.
I still call it The Jake.

I just finished The Bobby Gold Stories, one of 3 fiction novels Bourdain wrote (though at a lean 165 pages it's really more of a novella).
It's really a shame that he didn't write more fiction. This was a great modern noir/mob story. Highly recommended if you like hardboiled crime fiction with a wee bit of foodie/gourmet ambiance tossed in for good measure.
Both of his other novels, Gone Bamboo and Bone in the Throat, are also worth reading.

After watching it, I mostly agree. I wish it didn't happen but it doesn't seem that big of a deal in the end.

Loved the movie. Heavy stuff for sure but he was so great. Wish he was still around.

New unauthorized biography to be released that highlights the painful last days of Anthony. Not sure if I'll read it.

(nevermind the link source, it's the first one that popped up)

"I hate my fans" -A.B. from the book.

Not many people could hold a conversation with A.B. without boring him to tears IMO

Oof. That is heavy. Not surprisingly. I think I’ll want to read it but maybe not. I have been curious about his last few days, especially given Asia’s (or his?) cryptic post near the end of his life (I can’t remember exact details, just that it was worrisome).
