This really really sucks. Parts Unknown is one of my favorite shows. Something about Bordain made him one of the most interesting, genuine and just plain cool guys on TV.

No more than three weeks ago he was swimming around “happily” with his kiddo at my hotel pool in Rome. I found it odd that he was smoking again after hearing he was proud of quitting. Maybe he knew his time was short. Really sad.

He was a big advocate for workers rights and increasing the minimum wage along with being pro union for those objectives. No doubt there were some pretty powerful people who didn't like or him because of it. I have some doubts as to the quick conclusion of suicide..
