    FIFA 2018 World Cup

Ronaldo was slapped with a suspended jail sentence and a 17 mm fine by Spanish courts 2 days ago. I hope he wins this one.

Beautiful free kick for Ronaldo in the 87th to tie it. 3-3.

    FIFA 2018 World Cup

Spain - Portugal was an awesome game to be a neutral fan.

I rate De Gea as best keeper in the game today, but I’m a MU fan so salt that take. That soft goal was bad.

Great match. Hoping for more like that. Spain had sooooo many chances to run up the score.

Nacho's goal was unreal. I hate Ronaldo, but the fucker can play. IMO he flops too much. Gives soccer a bad name.

Yeah, the flopping somehow needs to end. Play on like hockey generally unless he's almost dead?

WC is just fun to watch...too bad us Yanks aren't in it.

Only way I'll ever get interested in watching top level football again is if they solve the diving issue. Maybe post match video review with fines and suspensions for egregious diving. Has totally ruined the sport for me.

Ronaldo is not even in conversation for GOAT because he's one of the fricken worst

Robben is still the king of the floppers.
Maybe a rule that if you stay down for x period of time you have to leave the field (I refuse to say pitch) for a period of time or be subbed out.

Wonder what would happen in the NHL if a player egregiously tripped someone and then tried to help them stand up?

    Telemundo.

I’m not sure about this video replay. That Peruvian player just sat in the box until they reviewed it.

These Peruvians are not diving, they drop after any contact( then they get right back up.

Ya Ronald''s free kick was the play of the tournament so far.. Leading "Golden Boot" standings so far. I don't really follow things that much until the knockout rounds these days.. Used to try to take in as much as possible last three WC tourneys. Kinda just "meh" this time.. and not because the US choked.. I've always been an England fan (God help me), kinda pull for Mexico too.. Spain recently winning was cool too.

Tough loss for Costa Rica. Brazil up next. I spend a few weeks in CR every winter so it’s nice to see the Tico’s do well.

Got a Mexico kit on this morning. Most of the neighborhood does as well. Pulling for England and Mexico primarily this tournament.

My neighborhood/barrio is easily 75% Hispanic and Latino. This block's going to be rocking late in to the night if Mexico hangs on to upset Germany.
