    Today's Deep Thoughts...

All of us probably run across something that we think is deep but then just pass it along and forget about it. For mine today, people of a certain age (non-millennials) remember when the hashtag was known as the pound sign. Whatever became of that? I know that voicemail and other instructions still refer to it as a pound sign but the hashtag has co-opted the symbol forever, it seems. But harkening back to a simpler day, would victims of sexual harassment taken the hashtag as part of symbolizing their plight? Think about the symbol as a pound sign and tell me what this says.

    #metoo

    That's all for today.

I think I got this from the NSFW thread here

"fuck off you asshat gaper shit for brains fucktard wanker." - Jesus Christ
"She was tossing her bean salad with the vigor of a Drunken Pop princess so I walked out of the corner and said.... "need a hand?"" - Odin
"everybody's got their hooks into you, fuck em....forge on motherfuckers, drag all those bitches across the goal line with you." - (not so) ill-advised strategy

professor of mine said there's not any new ideas any more, just a rework of existing ideas(and star wars seems to be making billions doing just that).

The most important conversation you will have today is the one with yourself about all those things you keep repeating in your head until you believe they are true.

So is truth an illusion or simply a delusion?

    Today's Deep Thoughts

The world actually ended around 2006 and all of this bullshit is just our collective consciousness exhausting itself.

The concept of memes popped into the mind during a hike the other day. Remembered an article I read on meme's in the Skeptic mag a few decades back. Internet meme culture wasn't really a thing back then, iirc. Contemplated the contrast of context of memes then to now. Also, remembered the long forgotten idea presented in the article that our concept of self could be reduced to a collection of co adapted meme complexes. Was happy to get home and take the cat for a walk around the yard and watch him chase things. Simple cat life; no exploding brain stress for him.

Oh, he meant me literally. I thought he meant "you" in the collective sense. LOL! Yeah, back to my evil ways. I was quite the party girl in my younger days. Legalization and current affairs have sent me running back into the comforting arms of cannabis. That and Bob told me I could come back baby ......

It is a much more genteel term esp. for the mature consumer

I can't tell you how much happier I am now that I've turned off the news and turned up the cannabis.

Now that's a deep thought right there:

"Turn off the news. Turn up the cannabis!"

    I like it.
