    Helena (MT) free bike shuttles...weekdays?

Anyone know if these are weekend only? Thinking about a mid week trip.

This. You don't need the shuttle to have a lot of fun.
    It sucks to suck.

Be aware they are doing a shitload of digging on Main Street, which is the way you go to get most trailheads. New sewer lines etc. Friend who rode up there the other day said they made him put his bike in the back of the pilot car and ride in the front seat. No idea if it's going to be that way all summer but it is a mess up there. I suggest you message Bike Helena for current info on the construction zone.

There are other trailheads, of course. Just a heads up.

Yeah. Been a wet spring. The South Hills are looking nice an green! Took this from the top of Mt. Helena this morning, looking toward Mt. Ascension.

I know this is a crazy question, but is there any great road riding up there? Like a 50 mile loop with hills, low traffic, and good pavement? I know..I am asking for too much!

I am not the person to ask about that. Most roads seem kinda narrow with little or no shoulder. The road riders I know mostly ride Hwy 12 to Macdonald Pass, then do the descent back to town. That is a pretty good 4-lane road with shoulders.
