    Easton Echo Hubs

Have a set of Easton EA90SLs on the road bike and recently the pawls seem to be slow to or not fully disengage when I coast. If the bike is in the workstand and I pedal it, once I let go the pedals continue to go with the wheel. I've pulled them apart and cleaned and greased them with no reduction in symptoms. Anyone had this happen before?

What are you using for lube in the freehub? If it's a grease, that can cause extra drag and even make the pawls not fully retract and break off the tips. I don't know what those hubs require but mavic for example just wants you to put in a small amount of mineral oil. And make sure you take the pawls out and clean the pockets and get them all lubricated too.

When I popped it open it looked like standard grease. A web search gave me no help. Tried it with standard grease, no luck, cleaned it and then used super slick, no luck. I was unable to get the seal out to get to the pawls, and only cleaned the outside of them but I'll try to get that off today and fully clean them.
