That’s the same patch I skied last September 1st. It looks about the same in the video as it did then. Rough year.

Forestdale Divide, July 26, 2018
I returned with Makisha and Penny to one of the same areas we visited the previous week, Forestdale Divide.
I started with a couple of laps on the Divide Patch.

After a couple of laps on the Divide Patch, Penny wanted to return to one of her favorite places, the pond below the Luniz Patch.

Leavitt Lake, July 29, 2018
Mrs. Vets and I headed out with our dogs Makisha and Penny for a walk and some ski recon. We ventured up the road to Leavitt Lake. While the road was still pretty rough in a few spots, it did seem better than last year.

Ski Lake, August 4, 2018
After camping out near Leavitt Lake I was joined by a support crew of four-legged and two-legged friends to start my 178th consecutive month skiing. We would head to the very appropriately named Ski Lake.
Vets reaches his first destination.

After a couple of runs we headed out for a longer loop that took us to the "North America Patch."
Along the way I saw some insects getting busy.

I headed out for another August ski day to the Method Man Patch at Roundtop with Mtndaddy, Mrs. Mtndaddy, and their dogs Lobo and Rocky.

It was great to get in another August ski day. It was also good to see that there is enough snow on patches in this area to last at least into September.

Vets, Keep it up! Not long before snow starts falling against. Serious question though - who has more fun on these patch skiing missions, you or the dogs?

You rock Vets. You’re a great reminder of what drew me to this place. Just a dude livin’ life to the fullest and sharing the stoke. Thanx and well done.

Figured I could put this here. Ticked Sprague glacier in RMNP off my list last month. Trying to ski all listed glaciers in CO.

Roundtop Lake Patches, August 20, 2018
Penny joined me for a recon ski mission. We would explore patchskiing options near Roundtop Lake.

From there we headed out a little further to our first destination, the October Patch.

After a couple of runs on the October Patch we headed back to the other side of Roundtop Lake to check out the Driveway Patch.

After reading this thread I was inspired to hike up and ski a nearby glacier, also a great opportunity to get a good workout...
After about 4000' elevation gain and about 5 miles I made it to Stanton glacier on Great Northern Mountain. Was only able to do one run cuz I didn't have crampons and the snow was still pretty firm. Oh well at least I got a few turns in!

Roundtop, September 1, 2018
I was joined by Dookey67 and Penny to start my 179th consecutive month skiing. We went to the Method Man Patch which was named by Dookey67 along with the other Wu-Tang patches nine years ago.

Round Top East Bowl, October 7, 2018
I was joined by PBR+POW=FUN and Penny to start my 180th consecutive month skiing. We were curious about hidden snow patches in Round Top's East Bowl. With blind faith we ventured up.

Vets calculates pond skimming capabilities.
While I pondered the pond, PBR+POW=FUN took a recon hike up a little higher and found a better patch.
We took two runs.
Penny wondering when I'm going to head up.
