    It was definitely up for internal “mental” debate the entire first day whether I bail. Definitely a struggle the first day, but the rest I gradually got better. Basically it was one day of misery then 4 days of just moving much slower than typical and maintaining a steady diet of sudafed, Tylenol and drinking a ton of fluids.

    Ha! I can’t seem to make it through a 5 day trip without some gear failure. Over the years I’ve found these trips tend to bring out gear weakness. Fortunately Enginerd’s and my MacGuver skills have improved in parallel. Planning on adding hose clamps to the repair kit (which right now is duct tape, zip ties and voile straps). Hose claps weigh nothing and you can actually ski with them around the ski too.
