    Cool Weather Pics

I thought we had a thread for this but a search for "weather" returned nothing so here it goes - had a wild storm blow through on Tuesday night. Here's the beginning of it. This picture was taken about 4 miles to the west of my place (Scott Butner, photographer):

^^That is not a weather pic. Please move that to the "acrobatic skywriting" thread.

Love the lightning drilling the windmill (if that's what those are).
There's a great photo somewhere of the crane that was building the addition to the hospital I work at getting drilled by lightning. God DOES NOT want that addition to be built. I think senior management at the time made God mad.

    I expected this derision.

Weak counterpoint: proper weather conditions were required to allow such creative expression.

Don't jong me, fucker, I got three years on you here.

    How about this?

    ^^^Asperitas clouds

I still think the Wilson Cloud phenomena occurring after nuclear weapons blasts are very pretty, as are mushroom clouds.

I like lenticular clouds too, they usually mean the weather is about to change and get stormy

Lucked out and saw 3 Kelvin Helmholtz clouds near Denver Airport last fall, by the time I pulled over and got my camera out of luggage, they had broke! Still sick to see.

A few people feel the rain. Most people just get wet.

A few from a recent late afternoon to night ride. One of the more spectacular sunsets I've seen in a long time

And another shot of a sunrise before the holidays, taken from the Arizona Trail east of Phoenix
