    MPC #170 - NEW LIFE 5/7 - 6/4

It is baby season in the wildlife kingdom and at the skialpy home (due date 6/12). Title leaves it open-ended; new vegetation, a restored Chevelle SS, young'ns in the wild.

    RULES:

    1. Photos must be taken within the time period of the contest.
    2. You may submit 3 photos during the competition.
    3. The contest moderator will choose 5 (or 6) photos to be voted on.
    4. The winner will get a happy feeling in his/her pants. (That is a rule by the way, not an option.)
    5. In the event of a tie, the contest moderator will have the deciding vote.
    6. Winner will be the contest starter/moderator for the next comp.
    7. The winner has 3 days to start a new contest or 2nd place becomes the new winner.
    8. And have fun.

Welp zero interest in this topic. Was hoping to see some wildlife shots but to no avail. Tied with BaNosser last time, maybe he has a good challenge?

I had hoped to get something for this but coming off a recent eye surgery (from which recovery has been FAR slower than hoped), I haven't been able to catch any animal/bird babies this year. I tried to get a shot of some new plants coming up but it didn't come very well (I'm blaming the fact that my eyesight is really fuzzy).
Aim for the chopping block. If you aim for the wood, you will have nothing. Aim past the wood, aim through the wood.

Sadly no entries. I will have to blame myself partly, too. I would still appreciate if BaNosser or you would bring up a new topic!

It's always nice to have the happy feeling in the pants (does this leave out female photogs?) when you win the MPC, but 170 of these things in the bag means finding a compelling and popular topic is getting pretty difficult.

I like the idea of this one, but the baby animal/restored vehicle lean might make it less accessible to many photogs. The new vegetation tilt seems too similar to MPC #169. You putting up a new topic works for me. BaNosser tying with you and being the mediator also seems like a reasonable solution.

I also get why these things have become nearly a month long; I was all for it in the beginning. But I wonder if such a long timeframe makes it easier to forget or be lazy about. If I give my students a long time to write a paper, fewer actually turn it in because it becomes way too easy to procrastinate and ultimately, forget.

Hey Guys! Whats up with the new MPC #171? I would love to see this going again but of course the right to put up a new one is not mine. I wanted to suggest the topic of "Off season" as many mags will have something to share there at the moment. Or maybe "work" - I recently saw a photo collection on that matter that did not seam as awful as it sounds in first place and many people take pictures somehow work related, e.g. a cook/ fisherman / business people on the street...

Well I hope we get back on track with the MPC. If I could help let me know.
