    Fly Line Reccomendation

    Hey guys,

A couple years ago my grandpa passed down a lot of his fly fishing gear to me. I've got an old battenkill reel that's been working great. The fly line feels like it's kind of deteriorating, though. I mainly fish a 5 wt rod in creeks to small rivers. Any recs for some new fly line? I wish my fly fishing knowledge was extensive as my skiing gear knowledge but it just isn't.

    Thanks in advance

Redds are very fishy. Id head to your local bass pro or dicks sporting and have them show you there selection of redd lines

I thought fishing redds was only for sponsored fisherbros?

for a real answer the rod might provide useful info, otherwise just spend some $$ on a brand name WF and call it good.

For durability, I would choose Airflo.

To be fair I like their tapers, durability is hit or miss, more often miss due to the nature of the coatings/cores. I don't personally feel their floaters float. The streamer max and its iterations are by far the best streamer line ever though. Great spey tapers, they get the two handed game.
