Splat is a warrior. Rallied up from Reno, handed out salve to help the people, skied even though he's broken, rallied back to Reno to care for the severely-busted-up gf. All in like 60 hours. He was here this morning before he hit the road. He hit the road, I went back to bed.

Hell of a time attending my first BBI/maggot summit. Sort of weird meeting sort of internet friends, with real names and a forum handle to try and remember. If I had to explain to a non maggot friend what I was up to, I am not sure they would be able to compute, heads would explode.
Ill Advised Strategy put it this way. “Imagine you are a Dalmatian dog living in a world of poodles. You are the same but different, and just don’t fit in. Then one day you meet a whole bunch of other Dalmatians, and you are like it all makes sense now.
An awesome mix of different people with a common passion for, skiing and a good times. Such wonderful open people willing to share a chair, a POW stash, a beer, a puff, a pair of skis, a place to crash. Huge shout out to flowing alpy for all the BBI’s, rallying maggots, and sharing the stoke. I am placing BBI20 at Alpental on my to do list. Also huge gratitude to skifishbum for showing us some of his favorite stashes, hosting, and so much more. Also to Mrs skifishbum for opening up the house and cooking.
One impression was the effort maggots made getting to UT. I thought made a good pull getting to Solitude at 3:30am from Jackson, in a snow storm Thursday, but I was out classed in this crowd. Splat making the Reno round trip, rolling in all fired up. Ill Advised Strategy and his UP to UT road trip. Vt-Freeheel getting shut down on the highway, slamming a red bull and punching it. The Aplental Crew, with the big road trip. But Brock Landers really stuck the landing, after an all nighter in NYC, 6am flight, to catching the last few runs of the day on borrowed skis, and street clothes.
Huge fun getting to ski with you all. Notably Norseman, who rips and was always up for a few more runs, and SirVicSmasher who was always ready with a yes. Fugitive, the broken ski speaks for him, triugulate keeping tele alive, east or bust, Django, the list could go on. A crew of rippers.

To carry on with the excellently portrayed summaries above^^^
I could go into some mushy “this is why we’re all here” spiel but I’ll leave it at this: this weekend was the tits. Internet strangers gathered from literally sea to sea to make turns, drink beers, and toke up. That is fucking rad. Ferchristsakes brock showed up from a late night bender in NYC and skied in his work clothes, if that doesn’t qualify for instant legend status I don’t know what does.
Gracious mags showed us their local goods, housed and fed us. Major props to SFB&wife and all the mags for making that potluck/raffle happen, that was just the icing on top.
It was truly a pleasure meeting all of you and I’m sure I’ll ski most of ya in the future.
I’ll try to do these in order, still have more to transfer over:

Today at Alta was the day the Smasher showed Utah how a heavyweight can throw down in the bumps...
You can go a long long while between seeing two 6’3” 250 lb guys smashing zipperlines at the same time....MOVE THE TERROR ALERT LEVEL TO MAGENTA, earthquake time bitches
The lost art of spinning into bumps
Too busy yelling AWWW YEAHHHH to get the epic spread eagle that proceeded this...
Old school!

Anyone going to be at Brighton or Soli this afternoon? I feel like a little bitch for not attending anything (though I've had my reasons). I've got some more life stuff this morning, but could rally later for sure.
