Let's Go!!!!
I'm prepping to drive thru a blizzard tomorry en route to BBI19UTSoli mag-fest-action.
Ripping another gorgeous day with Sailcat here in a few. Great turns yesterday from mach schnell early groomers to carvy north facing bumps to early creamed corn. And lotsa burning after commandeering a lighter, dammit.
Does anyone have any last minute requests from old Wyo?
I'll be staying with TheFugitive at his Castle so I know I'm well sorted for logistics. Plan on turning and partying with all you cats.
Safe travels, my friends.

anyone here early who feels like touring, I gotta work the week but will be up tomorrow morning early (usually skinning by 5am, must be skiing down by ~7:55am). dunno if anyone's here yet, or stupid enough to want to get up that early, but if so pm me. I got extra headlamps...

For tomorrow afternoon, who's looking to do what? I'll be picking up Norseman from the airport around 1, then we'll be going skiing somewhere. We've talked about a one ride ticket at Brighton and touring from there, which I haven't done, but I do know a couple areas that would give easy access to pretty well.

Yep, looking like this storm will pack some punch. That plan sounds fun
Edit- I'm leaning towards a run called Promised Land, which we could skin pretty quick without a lift assist, it's about 1500 vert, or a skin out a ridgeline from Great Western at Brighton

wish I could make it, but that's a solid option, nice tree skiing and doable even if the storm wildly overproduces. you can indeed get to it both ways; from the base of the GWE lift just skinning north to the W ridge is easy/low angle if you watch the topo. you can get back without too much effort also.

Sounds great!
FKNA, getting stoked.
So how about two laps in the BC, then a burger/pizza and beers at Molly Greens before night skiing. Recharge, dry out, tune up.
Let's set a tentative time for meeting at the bar, in case anyone else wants to join. 5:30?
Dibs, I need your address so I can find my bed/couch/dogbed.

What’s the consensus on touring, is everybody bringing gear or what?
Wasn’t planning on bringing my old, floppy, practically edgeless SFBs but that’s all I got as far as that goes.

Good buddy of mine is skiing around Utah this week. I told him that if he finds a herd of Kooks to follow them.

If anyone is skiing the bird tomorrow I should be around most of the day. Green/black flylow jacket, burnt orange helmet, green/blue bodacious.
Also was thinking of bringing a grill and some hot dogs/brats for Thursday at Solitude. Anyone else planning on doing any sort of lunch tailgating?
