Why isn't she getting support from her friends and other students? That just seems fundamentally wrong. Look at all of the outings and transgressions over the last few years. From what I can tell, the victims have support, and not only from friends and family, but from people who don't know them personally. Why isn't this happening for this victim? Just seems like if this was someone at my school, I'd be at her side defending her, not sneering at her. She didn't do anything wrong!

The salutatorian of my class at a suburban Dallas HS was also the starting QB our senior year. He was fucking smart and an above-average QB. Not many people cared about his scholastic achievements besides teachers and his parents, but goddamn they were critical of him on the field for his lack of greatness. Compound that fervor for greatness by 100 and that's what it's like in the smaller communities. Football and remembering the glory days is the only thing they have to live for....well, and church on Sundays.

This was obviously not voluntarily though. Not defending at all, but maybe kids don't understand the weight of the decisions they make around this stuff. A real dick move showing it all around, but I am under the impressions that there are tons of pictures floating around out there that are shared amongst classmates without consent.
