If we answer Yes we will be banned for life getting into the USA. It wasn't made clear if it's medical MJ but I don't think that will make any difference.
I guess it a way of penalizing us for making it legal. WTF
Just drive through or fly into the West Coast. Fuck all of those other Redneck states or just say "No".

Perhaps the USA should start testing all elected and appointed officials, weekly, for drugs?

They're living on the public dime, getting free universal health care, large retirement entitlements...the US citizens (who get none of these blatantly socialist programs) have a right to know where their money is going.

Not sure but I think I say something that said in the USA you can get a government job with if you've gone to rehab for many different drugs but never with a weed conviction.
    That's crazy if true

I suspect it has little to do with what state you might drive into; intl border is a federal jurisdiction. Just have to hope you get a college student in their summer job.

Silly me, I am certain you are correct. In the old days, a Green Card was good for as long as HLS could recognize you in the photo. Mine was from when I was 17 with slightly long hair. Asshole at the border gave me a hard time about using my sisters card to come back into the country and after finally letting us go, told me to get a new card as next time (like I will ever see him again) he wouldn't let me in.

So I go down to get the new card and the employee and supervisor asked me if I was sure I wanted to do that, as they could recognize me from the card. I told them to just do it, as all I need is another asshole at the border, giving me grief when I come back into the country. Now I have to go through the hassle and expense every 10 years of updating the card. What a racket.

I also have a friend that did nothing, when flying into Canada a few years ago, that the canucks held him in the airport for hours with no apparent reason, which caused him to miss his next fight and miss a day a skiing. I suppose they just don't want our money.
Don't want your money? We're number One on America's travel list. You fucking love us. And we had(have) more snow this year then like, forever. You'll be back😁

Pfft, 5% beer? Our baby formula is that now. Some of our regular crafts are bordering on moonshine at this point.

My wife's green card was from when she was a kid too. I can't believe they let her use it for 40 some odd years up until she got naturalized.

If I remember correctly in the 80's it was easy for a Canadian to get a green card. Wish I had applied.
To be able to live in Cali or Maui would be very appealing.

She got her first one in about 1970. I don't know how old she was in her permanent one. The picture looked nothing like her as an adult unless you squinted hard.

Which was funny because their beer was virtually the same strength as American beer. The difference was Canada historically measured alcohol percentage as percent by volume and the U.S. measured it as percent by weight. 4% by weight is equivalent to 5% by volume.

So, Canadians are definitely being denied access at the boarder now due to self admitted pot usage...

JUST SAY NO - Nancy Reagan. How hard is that? I've crossed 100 times and every time I lie if needed.

Where are you coming from - I lie
Where are you going - I lie
Are you bringing anything in - I lie

Ha! The father-in-law got refused at the border the other week. Conscientious objector from back in the day, got pardoned, then gave up citizenship when the US came after him for income tax a year ago. Was going for a road trip south from Victoria to visit aging relatives, smoked a reefer with his gf on the way to the border (and they had been hotboxing his van for the previous week visiting us at the cabin). Now they need to get a visa to get across the next time. Doh! State may be 420 friendly, but the fence is federal!

    From the article:

"What they do is they interrogate you. They tell you that if you don't tell them the truth, they're going to do a drug test on you. They can't do that," Saunders said.

"They tell you they're going to do a lie-detector test. They can't do that. They tell you they will hold you indefinitely or possibly arrest you for not telling the truth. They can't do that.

"I see this intimidation. People eventually break down and they admit to it...."

Just fkn lie is the plan (obviously). They can't do anything about it. Also don't bring it across the line.
