I always liked “Reynolds Wrap”. Don’t know for sure if the story is true, but I was told it is an unofficial trail named for a guy named Reynolds who wrapped himself around a tree and wasn’t found until the next day.

There has to be a "The Palisades" area at 7 or 8 ski resorts in the US.

There's a run at 49N the locals used to call "Betty's Gash". To get to it, you had to bushwack through some trees, which we called "The FUPA".

It has since been cleared of trees, taking away all the fun.

3 in the north Tahoe area--Squaw, Alpine, and Sugar Bowl. Squaw's the most famous, Sugar Bowl the hardest (?--by looks, I've only skied the other two) and least likely to be open.

How many Mt Baldy's and White Mountains are there in the US? A lot. (Not to mention Mont Blanc)

There is a chute at Alpine called Nun’s, because it’s as tight as...

Ah, the $64,000 question: Do you know who "Betty" is(was)?

For common names, we have Sundance, Ridge Run, White Lightning, The Face..

Add Kirkwood to 'The Palisades' list.

As far as 'Easy Street/Rider' in the Tahoe area...

Sierra at Tahoe - easy street
    NorthStar - easy street
    Heavenly-easy street
    Squaw-'easy slider'
Donner ski ranch - easyrider AND easy street
    Mt. Rose - easy street
    Sugar Bowl - easy street
I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.

I was thinking Easy Street was super common but then it occurred to me that maybe I only think that because of where I ski.

Betty and her husband, Al were long time business owners in Chewelah. Al was instrumental in getting 49N built and was a ski racing promoter (for lack of a better word) back in the 60's in the Inland Northwest. Betty went on to spend her winters in Vail as an instructor, along with her daughter. Their son is a friend of mine and was a strong racer in this area for several years.

Now, do you feel like you learned something today?

Edit: flyovercaptive beat me to it. Her obit is, obviously, more accurate and complete than my off-the-cuff memory.
