    Praxis Protest 188s

    Still Available.

    new price $275

    OG Protests. 188cm.
I bought these new in plastic from mikey1299 about 6 years ago. Skied maybe 40 days.
Drilled 2x: once for a 330bsl, 101.5 from the tip, STH pattern, and current for a 325bsl, -1 from prior mount, Warden pattern
Bases and edges are 9.5/10 and tops 9/10. These haven't even seen ice, let alone a rock.
These would be ideal if you can use the existing mount.

I'd love to get $275 flat but that probably only makes sense if you can re-use the mount.
Prefer local but will ship on buyer.
Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.

I’m tempted but need 310 pivot to fit em. You in CO?
I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

I'd think that would fit in there. Glad to check as soon as I can pull the bindings. Yes in Colorado.

Holy shit how are these still here? I own this ski and it fucking kills it. I will never sell mine, even though I’m building a custom 192.
These kill it in blower pow, cement, slush you name it. If it’s soft they rule it.

Sorry I've been out of town. All PMs replied to with mount info and best good faith info on what should work for a 3rd mount.
Replacing with a new pair of 192.

    edit: sale pending

    Back from the dead.

Buyer couldn't get his Pivot mount to work after all, so I've agreed to take them back and hope to find somebody who can use 'em with their preferred binding and bsl. They're back on the market, with SupreChicken having right of first refusal.

    morning bump.

Consider a more burly plug solution, if the prior holes are a problem.

I like both the aluminum screw approach of 1000-oaks as well as the epoxy fiberglass matrix approach that XXX-er endorses.

It's situational. Since I don't trust my drill press to precisely locate an end mill bit, I'll use the epoxy/glass mix when holes are touching and there's a risk of a drill bit walking (when drilling the new holes).

The aluminum screw method is a lot easier (less messy), although you do have to cut off the screw heads and grind them down. Time-wise, I find it quicker than the epoxy glass method however.

    Bump.
Lots of potential mount info learned over the past week. Best for a close bsl Warden or STH mount, of course.

And send him a few more bucks. Even then, it's a very fair price!

Supre has first dibs but I have some attack demo13 bindings with 130mm brakes that would pair well with these. $115 plus shipping

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that Protests aren't for me, but I'll hang on to mine and refresh my ad next Fall.

No sense giving them away ;-)

Who knows? I might end up bonding with mine, but after two mornings on them, I somehow doubt it. I'll meditate on @grinch's guide to skiing Protests over the Summer.
