    RIP tone capone

    http://www.dahlcares.com/obituaries/...#/obituaryInfo

Visitation will be held 3 PM, with a funeral service at 4 PM, followed by a reception at Dahl Funeral and Cremation Service on Wednesday, April 18, 2018.

Memorials may be made in his name to Bridger Ski Patrol, 15795 Bridger Canyon Road, Bozeman, MT 59715 and Gallatin Valley Search and Rescue, 219 E. Tamarack Street, Bozeman, MT 59715

    ************************************************** ************************************************** **************************************************

For those of you who don't follow the SWMT thread, yesterday morning tone capone was caught in a slide on Saddle Peak.

One of my earliest experiences of meeting mags in real life was a day at Bridger with mntlion spent following tone and nest around, including two runs down Saddle with Tony putting on a clinic in big turns on steep faces. Whenever I pass through the Jobs, I like to tell the story of when Tony said he was going to "poke around" and "check things out", only to watch him confidently ski down the snowfield between 1 and 2 and send the cliffs at the bottom without a second thought.

Tony contributed to this forum with so many pictures. If you have the time, go through the old Bridger and SWMT threads, his stoke is non-stop. I also included links to the TRs still populated with photos. If anyone has a quick link to his tracks down Lone Lake Cirque it would be much appreciated.

RIP Tony, may you have endless steep turns in perfect conditions.
I met him briefly when I was at BBI the following Monday skiing Bridger, interesting guy. Enjoyed his TR’s.

Thanks for the links ghosthop. Very sad day indeed. Tone's contributions to the forum will be missed. Condolences to his friends and family, especially his parents, whom he posted about fondly this season (in the SW MT thread) while skiing with them at Big Sky. I am sure they are absolutely crushed. Hopefully the memory of that week with their son is one they can cherish. RIP

I am so sorry to hear this. Tony showed Shar and I around his favorite Bozeman trails. He was a super nice guy and I was very much hoping to look him up this summer

    Sad sad deal.

We almost linked up one time to ski the Hanging Garden when I still lived in Bozeman, but all of the stars weren't lined up. Hope he's getting it done in the afterlife. He got after it living more than most could ever hope to. RIP Tone!

I chatted a bunch with Tone about a year ago. He bought my old pair of GPO and we exchanged a bunch of messages before/after. Seemed like a really genuine nice guy, and was always stoked to be out. Vibes to his friends and family. RIP dude.

Oh fuck!! I heard about this from a friend not on TGR...

I never met him in person but we had talked about it when I was planning to be up that way, which I was tentatively planning on next season. Fuck. :-( And it turns out we had mutual friends and I didn't even realize it until today after connecting the dots on facebook.

From some of his posts I inferred that we may have emerged from a similar dark place and skiing has been the passion keeping us in the light
