A croquet mallet works at close enough range, but I lack the stalking skills.

3 shot group I from load development last year at 100 yards with my Ruger Precision Rifle. .243 Winchester Handloads with 107gr Sierra Match King HPBT. That was my best group but all the group I shot with that gun were 1/2 MOA or less.

100 yard, 5 shot group from my basic Savage .300 win mag, handloads with 208gr Hornady BTHP. ~3/4 MOA.

    What do I win?

Both were shot prone with a Bipod and rear bag. Both Vortex Viper PST 4-16 FFP scopes.

If you're shooting a 243 you should give 115 gr DTACS a shot.

I've wanted to mess with those but haven't had the time to reload lately and a couple years ago when I was spending a lot of time with this stuff I couldn't ever find them in stock.

The Kenai from Gunfighters arrived. Very well done chest rig, the gun rides perfect in it. Two thumbs up.

My 15 year old just finished the last of all the Boy Scout shooting sports merit badges. There are some of us librilz who actually value proper firearm range training and skill.
    Archery
    Rifle Shooting
    Shotgun Shooting
We own all of the above. Just got a new archery target for the back yard range. My daughter's more in to archery, but they both like shooting air guns back there as well. I'm glad they have been given good basic instruction.. Just as important as knowing how to swim. Might never need to use it to save your life or survive but good to know if you ever do need it.

Cool. I got I got the archery and marksmanship badges merit badges at about that age. fun times. I showed my two grandsons how to make a bow and arrow by using what grew in the forest. Laughed when they headed off into the forest chanting in Ewok.

Is one style better for specific shooting situations? or is it just what you are comfortable with?

That said if you like to use a different choke on each barrel the over under makes more sense to me.

Picked up a 870 tac 14 yesterday + have an arm stabilizer on the way. Gun laws are funny. Going to put the regular stock and longer barrel back on my old 870.

In my opinion, Bear makes the best bang-for-your-buck bows on the market. I've been shooting one for 6 years now, checks all those boxes.

If you don't mind buying used, you might be able to get a Hoyt for around 500. probably the best bows on the market but $$$

Some of the older Hoyts, pre-carbon, can be had used and they shoot great, quiet, and fast. Mine's a CRX 32. I went and shot all the new Hoyt stuff next to mine and ended up keeping mine. It was about 10 fps slower, I couldn't tell a noise or vibration difference, and the financial net cost would have been over $1,000 to upgrade. That's $100/fps gain. Mine did weigh four ounces more so $250/ounce saved. So bows are just like mountain bikes.

    Gun Tech Talk

I’ve bought so many damn Glocks this yr., so I went with some cheaper black/black steel sights from Ameriglo called Defoors. Awesome sights for the money and easy on the eyes. Made for Glock too so they hit where they should.

The good news is I finally sold a Glock. May sell a couple more and get another 357 4” wheel gun. Nothing was more accurate than my old 6” SW.

    S&W 640 Pro Series
.357/.38. Low round count, never carried. Kind of heavier than I'd like, but... 357! $850
