Things That Amuse You
Somebody (who was it?) said in the last day or so that this thread should exist. Humor is how we make it through. So let's go.
Right now I'm giggling at Buffalo Hockey coverage but I'll come up with more shortly, I promise. What do you have?
I was kind of amused by the people on my flight earlier today freaking out about the horrendous turbulence. I was so hung over that death seemed preferable.
Maybe that's not funny.

I'm fortunate, a lot of shit amuses me. Like earlier today, I was driving to T.F. Green Airport in Providence. I've been there a hundred times easy. And I got totally lost. I was driving around on these roads I've never been on before, hung over as fuck, trying to save it. And laughing like an idiot at myself.

I mean, you get off the highway, you go left off the exit and take the next right. I know this. How the fuck did I get lost? No idea.
But I did.

Every time I see a dog in a car like this it amuses me.
I always think he is thinking “what the fuck is taking her so long in there”

Clowns are neato, clowns are fun
Clowns are loved by everyone
Cops and commies, even fags;
Everybody loves a gag...

Pickles.
Not conventionally considered haut cruisine, independent of boat. But they can surprise given the proper context.
There is naught. nor ought there to be any snackfood so exalted, so transcendently divine as that prince of preserves, the pickle.
Lying there, all ensconced in it's little jar of green garlic and vinegar deftly seasoned with herbs and unguents of mystery, it exudes a panache, an insouciance, a shade of innuendo slinking past gumshoe detectives in sticky floored bars, acrid cigarette smoke and heavily lidded glimmers from the mascaraed omnisexual in the corner past the pool table.
Chalking its cue, apostrophe or not, the table lay in an undulating sea of worn velvet and shot up bumpers. Euclid laughed and Riemannian arcs crisscrossed the projective plane en route to a doughnut or even a common Mobius strip. It's hell to line up a shot on those geometries. manifolds that only whisper their angles to close associates, hidden and smoky in the bosom of girls in the third vinyl booth.
Eyeballing a straight shot into the side, the pickle shoots and sees, vague lines caroming across those gaps wider than space or time, indefinite integrals of pristine formulae, packed into baby bottles of appropriate pink or blue, rolling, rolling, rolling with jerks and lurches common to foxhunts and market losses. The ball drops. The pickle folds.Merde De Glace On the Freak When Ski

Standing outside the bedroom or bathroom door and listening to my daughters talk amuses me. I guess I'm lucky they get along.

I was totally amused this morning.
Looking at the season pass page for Jackson.
The blackout pass, they are calling a BYPASS Pass: They are allowing you to Bypass the busy holidays.
Great marketing.

Animals that behave like humans. Always amusing but I’m a simple man.
