I used to drive a friend, who happened to be the sous chef, nuts when I was a line cook. If we were putting together a large table and one dish was taking longer than others, or we needed to play through with a different table, I'd say that we needed to retard such and such. That is, we needed to slow it down. I was often expediting in the second slot next to him. He hated when I said it, but not from any politically correct conviction. So I kept saying it. Because I'm an ass. That was before cell phones could fit easily in your pocket and custom ring tones weren't a thing yet.

This amuses me. I should have adjusted my angle for the picture though. The tires were like 3/4 flat. It looked like it hadn’t moved in a really long time. Seems like there’s always one of these in every park n lock I ever use in the city.
