If my car was worth more, I’d go ahead and get a loan on it and buy a CD. But not really worth the trouble for $10k (if that).

I just checked my credit union (similar restricted membership criteria) and to my surprise it's 3.25% for 36 but as expected 4.44% for a car loan.

Nothing particularly exclusive, you just need to live in the area.

3% isn’t all that hard to find right now, it’s the loan rates that are the outliers. Amuses me that they’re in the same community.
