I like doors that say "push to operate". I realize that they are electric assist doors and that some of those have a push paddle on the wall instead but it still amuses me.

    Things That Amuse You

Watching the pool instantly clear out when the lightening alarm sounds.

When it sounds, the pool deck is cleared and everybody goes home, which leads to the amusement of having the pool to ourselves when it reopens.

Sister called last night from ATL all spun up about her neighbors. They claim a tree in my sisters yard overhangs their property and want it removed.

Sister begins getting into how they make too much money and are wasting it building a pool etc. I am loaded on a bunion cookie and after a while I say, "OK Karen". Dead silence followed by, "who's Karen?"

    Brilliant.

There's a restaraunt in town that serves 100 dollar lunches to the ladies that shop, and the have taken over a section of sidewalk and adjacent parking lot, forcing people to walk in traffic. Their outdoor furniture and umbrellas are really nice. I have to try that.

Hey Benny, which one of us (you or me) owns a house in Bozeman? Paid off this week.

    Now that amuses me.

On another note, supposed to be hotter than the hinges on the hatch to Hell today here so I got a bike ride in early. Driving up S 19th as one of the Mega-church's is letting out. WTF? I always thought the purpose of going to worship was to hear some spiritual enlightenment and see your neighbors. How is that possible when your house of worship is like a religious Walmart?

Expanded outdoor dining is the thing, didn't you know that. A good thing IMO. So far it's not going away with indoor eating open. I hope it doesn't. It's nice when they leave room for people to walk. If that doesn't leave room for parking or driving cars I'm not concerned.

In other news--man sets car on fire next to I80 to keep bears away. No bears were found in the area so apparently it worked. Alcohol and drugs were involved.

That reminds of that corny thing I posted in the just a dog thread. Had a mistaken identity case and for a hot second were led to believe that our dog had been hit in the road.

I understood the meaning, what I couldn't place was whether this describes an average Tuesday, Friday, weekday, day ending in "y" or all non-leap days. Gotta be somewhere in the middle, right?
