I went to visit a new customer yesterday and stopped for lunch before. When I was on line there were signs and pics from their 54th anniversary and they made me smile because it was the Brooklyn I remember from when I was a little boy, not the grayscape it was yesterday. While I was eating and watching some kids play in the corner a flood of memories smacked me in the head and I realized I had been there right around when the place opened.

My great aunt lived a block or so away and we were walking down the street, me and my cousin that was the same age were drawn to the balloons and activity so our moms took us in for lunch. I sat there and got cold sweats and goosebumps as the memories came back. I can't share them with any of those people now because they're all gone but I was thoroughly amused and smiled most of the way home so I thought I'd share it with you all.

Boston is a great city. Boston sucks. Boston was laid out in the most fucked up way because it is a series of paved over cow paths that happened to merge over time. The most amusing thing about Boston is that for all of the development, highway construction, the Big Dig, and planing the whole modern highway scheme (rt 1 Int 95) seems to be built around the Boston Sand And Gravel plant just north of The Garden. The plant has been there since I can remember (56 years). Many properties have ben taken by eminent domain over the decades but the BSG plant remains and everything has been built around it.

Every time I fly it gets more and more:

While driving through a 3 way intersection last week, I couldn't avoid noticing a fugly cybertruck to my left, at a stop, waiting to enter the same intersection.

A split second later I noticed an extremely grizzled older fellow sitting on a park bench to my right, directly opposite the cybertruck. He was enthusiastically flipping it off and screaming what I'm sure was pure comedy at it's hidden driver.

    I smiled.

Kelly Clarkson has a "ranch" outside our small town and is filming a music video at the historic theater. Seeing all the Hollywood types at the local shithole watering hole has been very amusing.

The Red Sox have a prospect at camp, his name is Jhostnyxon Garcia. His triple-A teammates call him The Password.

^ Sorry, I laughed the first time. It’s funny, I was just lazy about replying/acknowledging.
