Bozeman Taco Bell at 2am after the home football opener might be as amusing as it gets.

Watching MNF and an ad came on after--the music was Janis Joplin singing "Cry, Baby" so I listen. I look at the screen--a beautiful model in a field of flowers, then lying in a rowboat as a whale passes underneath, and other beautiful model stuff. At the end it turns out to be an ad for Dior perfume. The contrast between Janis and what was on the screen--I just don't know what to say. Pretty sure Janis didn't wear perfume, unless Southern Comfort made perfume.

Wonder why Mercedes has never used that song in an ad. Germans have no sense of humor? Or they used it and I missed it?
While we're at it "Let's Go Get Stoned" and "Everybody Must Get Stoned" would make for some good ads. I might even watch the ads instead of FFing.

Actually two of the funniest guys I know are German--father and son--a very dry ironic sense of humor. What is even more surprising is that the father is a dentist, and everyone knows dentists have no sense of humor.

When I was about 4 my mom was hospitalized for 9 months with TB--reactivation of the TB she had as a kid--and my dad hired a German woman--Margaret--to look after us during the day. Margaret instructed us to fold our toilet paper before using it. And if we wanted we could make a hole in the middle as a handle for our finger, ha ha. That was my first exposure to German "humor".
My dad spoke German. He used to translate what the German speaking Nazi soldiers were saying in WWII TV series that were popular in the late 50's early 60's. Apparently what they were saying had nothing to do with the show--rude jokes about the director, comments about the women on the set. More German humor.

Today driving down a residential street in Big Sky. Big happy looking Chocolate Lab lab sitting in the street licking his nutsack while a big ass delivery truck was stopped because Fido wouldn't move til he was finished.

People watching in Santa Fe. Spent the last couple days there for work. SO many great stereotypes I just had to chuckle in amusement. I always enjoy my visits through there. Haha. Good times. This one's for you, SF mags:
