I laughed, only in Vegas. I hope.

    https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/z...-pigeons-heads

Meanwhile, in Las Vegas, somebody is attaching miniature cowboy hats to a number of pigeons that are still very much alive. A Vegas resident named Bobby Lee posted a video of the birds and their tiny red hats to Facebook. "Fuckin' birds have hats on bro," he said in the clip. "What the fuck?"
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

The preschoolers that have a free play break in the Truckee Rec Center gym--playing bumper cars with trikes and little plastic cars and generally running around screaming and having a great time doing nothing special--it would be nice to feel that way again.

Also amusing--the adirondack chairs made out of fake wooden skis I saw. Isn't the point of Adirondack chairs made of skis to find a use for skis you can't bring yourself to just throw out like you should?

This was pretty amusing. Apologizing now for semi-skiing content in the PR,

Guy blowing the pine needles off his driveway off Donner Pass rd--with 60 mph gusts coming off the lake and a snowstorm minutes away.

I figured the pigeon cowboy hats were the brainfart of some hybrid stoner cowboy.

Holiday drivers on Mt Rose highway. All with California plates.

    Today:

    - Front wheel drive Toyota Sienna minivan whips out of pullout directly in front of me, no signaling. Has chains flapping wildly on the rear wheels... (and it was not an AWD Sienna.)

    - Toyota Tacoma TRD pickup truck parked in another pullout... with people busily chaining up the front wheels. (Road has a couple inches of slush at most. I was in 2WD in a pickup truck and had no problems.) If it was a 2WD truck, wrong end. If it was 4WD... shift into 4WD?

You may not be scared of snow but you should be very afraid of Californians driving in snow.

seriously. As someone who grew up in Wisconsin then spent 16 years driving in New England, it is shocking just how bad drivers are here in snow. But you have to remember that many California drivers have the same amount of experience driving in snow as Georgia drivers.

My ex wife (favorite thing to bitch about) is wholly invested in diminishing me. My kids just told me I’m actually 5’ 8”, an inch shorter than I am. I’m not a big guy, but I’m pretty comfortable with being 5’ 9”.... I’m actually some fractions of an inch taller than that, but why tell my kids I’m shorter than that? Bizarre. And it wasn’t a misremembering of my height. It was a “you say you’re 5’ 9” but you’re actually 5’ 8”.

Weird. And I choose to be amused.
    focus.
