Do you mean most teenagers? I have teenagers. That's pretty common attire.

I swear, he's going to get pneumonia and die. Found him shoveling one day in Crocs, no socks, pajama bottoms, and a tee. Flannel pajama bottoms so he was on the right track. No hat or gloves. It was in the lower teens for temp. Smart kid too. No common sense. Extreme laziness.

My dad's favorite move was what we called the Jewish left (not the socialist worker's party, but the Jewish left turn). Making a left turn from a residential street with a stop sign on to a busy 2 land arterial with no center lane--pull into the near lane when traffic clears, then wait there until the far lane clears to make the turn, ignoring all the pissed off people he was blocking.

It's a power move but I don't get the jewish part (unless Dad is Jewish I guess).

that was a decent article on the why.
and thinking back to my questionable clothes choices of teenage yrs, it was always more of what I felt comfortable in- more the mental comfort than the physical comfort. maybe sometimes felt more comfortable in what I wore on a "good" day or time period.
But I also figure they might all be mini win hoff's/ dantheman's in training

Yeah we're Jewish as was the whole neighborhood. Everyone did it. Probably non Jews did it too but I wouldn't know about that. Nowadays it seems like all the arteries where I live have a center left turn lane you can turn into without blocking traffic,

I was trying to convince my 14 yo that if he ate enough toilet paper he could have self-wiping turds. He's way too smart for that but got a good laugh. My 17 yo started trying to calculate optimal fiber content for a plant based diet approach to that problem. As he ate a big pile of beef.

The screensaver that came with my laptop is a rotating series of landscape photos. The picture today is of Moraine Lake and the Valley of the Ten Peaks. The caption--"one of the features of this vast, remote lake is how accessible it is.".

To set the stage: This morning on a steep, narrow, windy road to this New Mexico ski area, during a warmish storm making the road pretty greasy. I’m in the conga line of cars headed up when the line stops. After a few moments the line starts moving slowly. As I come up I see a 2wd minivan with the front wheels spinning madly sliding sliding sideways down the road, perpendicular to the fall line and the road. Everyone in front of me made it around the ass end of the minivan, which was jammed with a bunch of panicky-looking folks from east of the Pecos.

    I chose to be amused.

Shorts guy. Everybody knew/knows a shorts guy. Do we really need a whole article and analysis on shorts guy?
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.
