That's funny but like I said I don't really have a problem with honey. If I'm not going to criticize you for eating a cheeseburger I'm surely not going to criticize a vegan for not eating honey. It is easy to find inconsistencies in any way of life shall we start talking about Catholicism?

Well he was going to die anyway, so its ok to eat.

    But he did suffer.

    But it's what he wanted....

But its exploitation to absolve our sins...

Enslaved... sometimes they are given sugar water before enough pollen is out.

Seems like if honey isn't ok then anything pollinated by kept bees shouldn't be ok, either.
    We fucking agree...holy shit.

Veganism is nonsense. We are omnivores. Period.

Fruit and almond farmers, especially in the Central Valley, consider honey a byproduct.

But most don't keep their own bees, I thought at least the almond growers hire hives for a few days a year?

Does consuming the alcohol that yeast produces count as exploitative? Or is that just a byproduct? Are yeasts not cuddly enough

Yeast eat sugars, pee alcohol and shit CO2. So I would say ‘byproduct’...

Nope...they just go to sleep. Yeast doesn't really die. Most beer makers filter beer. But take a Sierra Nevada pale ale for example. Save the last bit of the bottle. Gather 6 of them. Make a yeast starter and you'll be shocked to see that you have Sierra nevadas yeast for your own home brew.

I would say, in the vegan world, yeast is very exploited. All they do is work and sleep really.

Only one way to go if you're a committed vegan.
