    Good job.

Skis are buoyant on their own, are they not? Might explain why you can make it with them just below the surface.

Yea, I see skis above the water all the way back to the boots. 2nd props though, I haven’t had the balls to try that yet.

what kind of ski were you on I've seen good skiers eat shit on the narrow retro long boards that come out on widup ?

the flotation of the ski isn't going to keep you afloat, at the local hill its speed and width that get you out the other side so the wide pow skis will almost all make it but the snow boards almost all eat shit

    This photo makes no sense..

Only retro narrow board should be allowed in pond skims. The new fangled wide bodies are just cheats that let any moron make it across.

    Why not?

a buddy of mine mounted up 2 snow boards with alpine bindings, but the approach to the slush pit has a slight curve and the directional stability of 2 snow boards was so bad he almost missed the pit but they were real easy to get across

do people wana crash or get across ?

personally I kinda like staying dry

How bout on one of those ski bike things. Be pretty sweet if you could pull a "wheelie" all the way across.

If I had anything to say about the pond skim rulz and protocol it would require anyone riding anything reverse camber tips and tails and over 100 under foot to hit the water SWITCH or face penalty of being pushed back in if they cross the water riding forward instead. Full traditional camber under 100 mm and hit it the easy way with no penalty..
Go that way really REALLY fast. If something gets in your way, TURN!

Just have a guy on each side about mid way. Someone with fat boards goes in forwards and guy one tosses a rope guy two, they pull it tight. The cheater will be swimming one way or another.
