Price check! Aisle 4!
Was looking at a few cars today and found an '04 LX470 in pretty immaculate condition with 74k miles. Everything works, and the only part of the car that looks better than the interior is the underbody, which looks impeccably clean. No weepy seals, no caked grease/dirt, etc. T-belt was replaced at 58k in '14. Owner wants $22k. Hadn't been looking for it, but seems like a great opportunity. Has the ever popular MB Taxi-esque beige over beige color scheme.. Yay or nay?
Pics shortly.

Yes, that tundra is spot on, looks tight. And it’s red. I’d pull the trigger. Quick

Beware of steam cleaned engines. They sometimes are hiding something. Nice looking rig. Seems high to me too.

If you get 10 years out of it and sell it for say $6,000 you net cost will be $16000 add $4,000 is service
For $20,000 ÷ 10 years
at $2,000 a year I think the math works considering the reliability and quality.

Just make sure it wasn't under water in Houston (or similar) last year. There are probably a half million cars out there that look great but electrical disasters due to flood damage from various disaster zones around the country.
Go that way really REALLY fast. If something gets in your way, TURN!

$22K for a 2004? That sounds insanely high to me. Maybe $15K at the most.

Looks like NADA on it is $19,500... It's an '04, but NADA adds $4k for the low mileage. It's a CO car. The hitch wiring is installed, but the hitch cover is still on and nothing's ever been bolted up. Had a chance to take it mudding briefly... Tcase, 4lo, diffs, everything worked perfectly. I pulled a quote for extended service coverage through my credit union - $3k for exclusionary(full) 6 years/80k miles with a $100 deductible. Have offered $20k. We'll see. Funny - was thinking about selling my 4runner, and the s5 I came to see is beat. Might happen. Beige AF.

Hmm, NADA came up as $13500 when I did it, but maybe I missed some of the options. Good luck.

Timing belt replaced at 54K miles ? Why was that ?
2004: does it have an 8-track or a cassette ?

Lexuses are usually dealer serviced. You can take the vin to any Lexus dealer and if they’re cool, they’ll give you all service records from mile 0 that occurred at any Lexus dealership on that vehicle.
