    Ha!

I posted it somewhere upthread, but I came across these guys last winter coming back from the North GA mountains. British Columbia plates, covered in dirt and mud and howling along; thing looked fantastic. Did some googling and it’s a cool story of the build and their adventures.

My guess is these P-car enthusiasts were spending some time up at one of the most preeminent flat-6 engineers and Porsche race car builder, Jake Raby, whose shop is inconspicuously tucked in the mountains among some of the absolute best driving roads in the country.

    Well, hello there indeed…

Ouch. When I was that age, I'd try to find a used one at the junkyard and replace it in my parent's driveway. Guessing you wouldn't want that either.

The dollar store Rothmans livery is cringe, but all else about the Dakar is everything I would have hoped for in a factory safari. My pitch to the wife to sell our house to live in the roof-top tent on top of the Dakar was not received well.

Ding ding! We have a winner! Nothing like a little sidewall to fill up the fenders.

    £202,000 resto?

It looks nice. But that doesn’t seem like a smart investment
I like the $50k original version better. For the buck.

For the buck, sure, but if you’re spending 6 figures on something like that I assume you’re irrational. I just think it would be a cool car to have.

He bought it Feb 2020 for $50k
Sent it to England to drop £202,000
    Paid to ship it back

    And selling it already?

Curious what his expected sale price is

Does the NY Post have a used G-wagen classified section? I bet it's next to the escort listings, yeah?

Oh it wasn't directed at you personally, just kind of posing the question to the universe.

I'd have to figure the Post wants to maximize its ad revenue and placing crypto bro targeted G-wagen ads next to the high priced hookers might fit together like peas and carrots.

Every time I see the phrase peas and carrots

It’s in the Forest Gump voice

    Just like that

Unfortunately for TGR, the used Subaru and Audi market could be ticking up as they downsize.
