Or for the police to locate once it's been wrapped around a pole on the main drag at 2am.

On that note, how easy is it to wire up a tail/brake light kill switch on those?

I wouldn't drive that thru a field of bulls, but it's way better than that Porsche wrap you inflicted on us a few pages back.

It's going up on BaT this weekend it looks like. Trusting the tgr wisdom.

It's been a fun ride with this fastback. I rescued it from a barn at a country auction in rural Colorado the week before I moved back to California. It was a dream when I bought it, but I rebuilt the suspension and tuned it up, getting it to run better than most classics ever dream of.

I drove it all up and down the coast in California, getting grins and shakas everywhere it goes. Now I'm moving East back to the mountains, and the Mustang is too is ready for its next chapter. Thought some of you might appreciate it. It's been a real treasure.

    Full throttle, 0-60

Very nice. What's under the hood, does the emblem say 289? It sounds great.

Yes, if it's stock. 289 was the only V8 offered on the 65 Fastback. The options were 2 or 4 barrel carburetor.

Is it 3 on the floor? or does it have GT options, but the stripe is gone?

    Very cool car.

Previous owner swapped out the factory 289 for a 70's 302. You can't tell unless you pull the valve covers to check, it's pretty much the same engine. 4 barrel Holley carb.

It's a 4 speed manual. Pick of the litter for transmissions on the classic mustangs.

Factory GT. It's been repainted since new, I don't know it if had a stripe with the OG paint job.

Yeah 302 is basically a stroked 289. Holley double pumper or vacuum secondary?

    Factory 7 1/4" rear end or 9"?

Totally randomly a guy drove by the house yesterday and stopped and hollered up to me. He wanted to buy the car, offered me $50k on the stop. I respectfully declined. Hoping it goes for around $80k. Fingers crossed.

Nice. It must pull pretty well.

Didn't realize 8" was a factory option for first year FBs.
