Bobby's used car lot and Free Carfax
If I read that article cynically enough, I could easily conclude that [edit] many of those cars were not on that ship when it sank.

What do you think about a 2018 Lexus LC500 as a daily driver in the PNW?
My better half insists on it but I am worried its probably as expensive to maintain as a German car and the winter-ability (no snow storms) of it?

Agreed about "cold car". Many 2018's up for grabs with ~3000 miles @ $75-79K. By "winter" car I mean cold weather....not snow or ice. I figure you can get 20" wheels and throw all-season or winter season tires instead of the summer only tires. MY understanding is summer tires are not meant for under-40deg, 21" wheel models have no known winter or all-season I can find. Would be GF's daily driver.

So Bobby or anyone else that cares to provide some insight on shipping vehicles. The pricing I understand is all about when, where and how fast the delivery as well as how far it is (as well as how many of the vehicles they can haul from the same area and if they are running full carrier or have room for an extra etc.). Best rate is being in the right place at the right time.
These broker sites - listing a vehicle with a 2 week window of time- full sized wagon (if it matters on weight and length etc.) going across the state (420 miles) and 7 hours, vehicle is not high end enough that a cover is required as long as they would be insured if some damage would happen.... Rates are quoted, some may lock them in, others want provide an estimate and it may not be locked in. I have a ski buddy that has done this on a smaller scale, but he just is getting back into it. He stated he could do the listing instead of a broker but is just getting his new trailer and would want much more money than some of the preliminary numbers out of the quotes from all these independent brokers. Are these like politicians and lawyers where you really can't trust them until you see all the fine print and pay the fees, or are there better operations that work with the major central listing of vehicles... If the vehicle gets picked up in 2 weeks (to avoid storage the seller from wanting storage charges after that) and takes a more than the 1 day drive to arrive, is that OK too?
Last time I did that just did the drive to the seller (about the same distance) and the 15 or so hours (but it took 2 persons and 1.5 times the fuel compared to trying to fly or do some sort of train (transfers would be required as no direct rail exists (or bus is listed at 15 hours across with all the stops etc.)
