It's awesome but not $20k awesome. Several leaks, both front struts blown, originally black not white, has a fuel cell and no cat, and rear subframe and driveshaft welded on by Colfax shop. I'm gonna offer $10k even though engine has less than 30k miles and sounds wonderful

Okay motorheads, wifey will be looking for another grocery getter/real estate agent car in the near future. Her X1 has been fun, but it's not good enough to make it past her 2 year ownership threshold (if she loves it, she keeps it longer than 2 years, if she doesn't, she sends it down the road). A plug-in hybrid is likely to be the choice and our options as we see it now are the Audi Q5 e and the XC60 recharge T8 R design. Sorry Stainless, the Cayenne exceeds the price limit.

Audi pros - Stealership factory service here in town for warranty work.

Cons - Never owned an Audi and they've always to me seem to age rapidly.

Volvo pros - sexy mom-mobile, R design, Polestar, known commodity - owned a bunch over the years.

Cons - Factory stealership service is 2 hours away, speed limiter needs to be chased away with after market tune = $2,000.

I'm leaning towards the Audi - talk me into or out of it.

I’m having trouble parsing this - did you mean to say the Volvo is sexy?

GX460s are the best SUV for the money currently. I've had 5 or 6 of them. It's what my wife likes to drive.

We cross shopped Volvo/Audi CUVs recently and the Volvo is the better all around, though the Audi drove slightly better.

There have been way too many problems with the Google interface on the 2022 xc60 that are dealership only fixes. The people that aren't having problems are in love with the things but there are a lot that lose their cars for weeks at a time waiting for a solution.

Those are built like a brick shit house, but I like the 460 V8 more. Im pretty sure it has a timing chain too so no belt service.
