ETA: I just looked up the list of fastest accelerating cars and at the top of the list is still the Porsche 918 Spyder; 2.1 seconds. A car that hasn’t been made since 2015. What a machine.

Its a Lambo. Par for the course. Just got this one. Bottom pic is how I received it. Had to change a few things.

stupid question, but do you HAVE to buy carfax reports one at the time, 6 for $99, etc. Can you buy "all you want" for a period of time, monthly, etc. ?

this is suddenly very relevant for me....

U can buy a subscription... it's sold in tiers the way I remember it. Its been a long time but, 1500$ got u unlimited carte blanche - 12 months.

Same with Manheim (international auto auctioneer)... just need a reseller certificate.

Has anyone seen the new Corvette in the wild? Thought by now I'd have seen one.

I’ve seen a ton. The examples with good color make you do a double take for sure.

Saw the new C8R debut at Petit LeMans last fall too. Hell of a car. It’s engine note sounds like murder.

If I had to guess, despite the C8 being targeted at a much, much younger audience than the previous generations, I'd say down at the Elk's Lodge, or on some back road Upstate with 25 cars stuck behind it.

I have to agree. Corvettes seem to be the go to old guy taking his wife out to dinner at 5:00 vehicle of choice.

Hey I know Bob hasn’t checked in for a while. Hope things are good out his way.

Looking for collective wisdom. I’ve purchased several new cars in a row but living more modestly these days and certainly some advantages to driving an older truck or Jeep especially if they might get banged up in work or play.

I was shopping pretty hard (which I hate) in Jan and then shit hit the fan, so I figured I’d wait. Wondering if anyone has had eyes on vehicles in the 10k range and if you feel price has dropped or stayed the same etc. I figure it may be different for new vehicles, or could be the same principle. Could be more advantageous... There might be another blip on the radar in two weeks if FL TX CA don’t get their shit together. So I mean I need a different rig and a few hundo isn’t going to kill me but if the general consensus is that you should be going in way under online “blue book” it would be good to know.

Used cars are bringing ALL the money these days. Not really the best time to buy a car.

Carvana and CarMax are pumping money into ads. They have to see this as the time to strike the death blow in the used car market.

Thanks Bob, bad news, but good to know going into it. I’ll be less inclined to walk from the rig I want if it comes along and over inflated a bit.
