Was not familiar with the chain, but between Bobby’s picture and this wiki quote I think I’ve got it:
“Twin Peaks is an American chain of sports bars and restaurants based in Lewisville, Texas, which has been described as an "ultimate sports lodge" and breastaurant”

wasn't sure if this was a ques for a new thread? not quite montucky's thread & not quite this one, but here goes...
[i'm not a car guy, so just polling the internet for loose canon opinions...]

    does this vehicle exist?
    in order of importance...
    budget: +/-$10k
type: small or med wagon or hatchback (bigger is better if affordable)
    heaviest use: local commuter (10mi/day)
durability: need it to run for 6yrs [resale not needed, just get it that far without too much hassle]
fuel: reg or hybrid (premium & diesel being $$$/gal)
    mileage: <100k
    awd desirable but not essential

looked at the following which seem to be about 10yo typically:
    vw golf
    honda fit
    sub impreza
    kia soul
    audi a3
    mini clubman
    ford escape hybrid

when is a salvage title problematic? always? our insur co may have final say?
seen some cosmetically good looking salvage title cars...not sure how to assess rebuilds

Honda Fit FWD or Toyota Matrix AWD. I would stay away from salvage title unless it's about 50% off AND you can get a quality inspection done. My kid picked up a 09 Honda Fit with 120K for $6500 and the interior is very roomy. Mechanics I talked to said they are incredibly durable and reliable cars. Unless you're mechanically inclined would stay away from Audi and Mini. I think the VW 2.5 is suppose to be fairly robust(for a VW). but it's still a VW and they don't seem to age very well.

    vw golf - No
honda fit - Yes, or CRV
sub impreza - Maybe, but could go sideways
    audi a3 - Double no
    mini clubman - Absolutely not
ford escape hybrid - Prius would be better in every way (except coolness).

Cars with title issues are for enthusiasts and those who can't afford better.

Well if he's never gonna sell it then a rebuilt title car could be ok as long as its been repaired properly (salvage title is the shit you get at Copart that you have to fix first in order to get a rebuilt title). Your ins company won't give you collision insurance and if you don't know enough to assess or have someone knowlegable to assess the repair stay away.

These are the shots across the bow. They're letting us know what we're in for going forward as we get our cool new cars. This will allow them to build world cars and enable features per market or as necessary. Build one car, scale it up and get the costs right and then open up features based on the users wallet size.
