A friend who's got some business affairs today down at the docks sent me a picture of the vessel. She's a beauty Clark.

I believe her next stop is Baltimore.

I hope it gets off here. My salesman is a bit green, or put another way, he's no Bobby Stainless, so a "hey, unfortunately your car is in Baltimore" call wouldn't be entirely unexpected.
He's only 95% sure it's on the Grande Torino, so this TR by TR could be all for nothing and and we'll have to wait for the Grande Florida in two weeks. It's a sort of uncurated adventure I'm taking here, and I'm inviting you all to take it with me.

Lots of crazy stuff goes down at the docks.

"uncurated adventure" sounds like the antithesis of what Millenial would call their Instaface travel posts. I like it.

Speaking of crazy stuff at the docks, mind sharing what your friend is doing down there, seems like it could be a story.

He's in law enforcement. He might be at the airport now which is just a Turnpike overpass away from the Grande Torino. This is what 40lbs of Ruffles Potato Chips looks like.

Love the name of the ship, half expecting it to have a big stripe down the side.

Funny one of my biggest pet peeves has always been how little product you actually get in a bag of chips. Seems I've just been buying from the wrong store....

Yeah someone's having a bad day. I floated the idea to him that this so poorly represents actual bags of Ruffles it must be a decoy shipment designed to distract law enforcement from discovering the 100 kilos of double stuff Oreos.

    Decoy shipment for sure.

If I’m reading that right - and to be fair, I may well not be - it sounds like the lawyers are following the only legal path available to them, but the laws themselves are fucked up?

Yeah. Some weird Michigan law that the dead worker can’t sue his employer.

So they go after the car owner who just wanted an oil change.

    Fuck me.
All new cars in Europe will not be able to exceed the speed limit.

And they’re working on retroactive limiters for older cars.

Sounds like the kicker is in the state of Michigan the car owner is responsible for any damage or injury caused by the car. Even if the owner wasn’t driving. Don’t valet your car in Michigan, stupid law.

Slap some turbos on it and it becomes the motor they used in the Typhoon iirc.
