Love my 7.3 excursion. I drove it today cuz I already took the roof and doors of the jeep and it was magnificent. That damned engine delivers the torque. I mean, it's an 8000# suv and yet, it feels peppy. That seems incongruous until you drive it.

Gotta assume a decent 7.3 will run you 3-4x the price of a late 80s Suburban. My parents just unloaded their 1990 Suburban 1500 in pretty great shape all around and 175k for like $1200 to the neighbor kid. My neighboor in Aspen has a 86 2500 with recent lift and 34's that's pretty cool for cruising around. Originally Posted by simple
