Binding mount F up
I screwed up mounting a pair of skis and I need to change the binding from Look Pivot 18s to Marker or Solomon. Anyone know which bindings is most different then P18s?

How badly did you bungle it?

Fit the holes and start over. But fill with wood plugs and epoxy, not plastic pound-in plugs.

I wouldn't trust drilling into dowels, why don't you just move the mount 1cm ?

Pay a pro to mount your fucking skis?
a positive attitude will not solve all of your problems, but it may annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

There was guy around here who was mounting his skis to some kind of plate and then gluing the plate to his skis.
Sounds like the best idea allround. I am not sure why shops don't offer this. I guess no one really wants a higher stack height."Its not the arrow, its the Indian" - M.Pinto

Your shop owes you a pair of brand new skis.

Well I did the mount myself so I owe myself a new pair of skis...
The holes were off center by 3mm, and I helicoiled them. I pulled the Heli coils out the best I could but it wasn’t pretty. The holes are the size of the Heli coils now.
They are unicorns, 202 cm Fischer Ranger 108s. Finding the correct mount point was hard enough. I may move it forward to -2 after the season. We will see what happens. They held today with a ton of epoxy holding 1 of the 4 toe screws in question in. The other 3, well two are tight and feel very secure, the last one was hand tight and I didn’t give it an extra twist because it didn’t feel as tight as it should of...
Maybe I’ll grab the pair of 202 rangers off the FS boards and turn these into a shelf.

Skied them today, I’ll bring them home this weekend and post pics...
JB Weld or something similar is probably what I’ll end up using instead of wood dowels and two part quick dry epoxy.
I have Heli coils galore, just need to get the holes small enough I can get them in. Maybe JB weld the Heli coils in?

If they're symmetrical twins you could just turn them switch and remount backwards hahahaha..Go that way really REALLY fast. If something gets in your way, TURN!

This might work. I’ll ask a buddy if he has any at the shop. Still need to get all the old epoxy out and I think JB Weld and T Nuts would be easiest.
