    Plate/rail/system bindings on fatter-waisted skis?

Are there any big drawbacks to using systems like Tyrolia's PowerRail on fatter skis?

I got a pair of Shamans that are 110 underfoot. I was leaning using PRD 14s since they are adjustable, so I can find the sweet spot (read that some like the suggested mount line, others fore/aft). I also like the idea of additional stand height and that I could just buy rails for other skis and move the bindings from ski to ski.

I have looked everywhere for an answer, but it seems like most discussion of adjustable bindings falls to Attack 13 Demos (which I am very open to, but would lose the ski-to-ski feature that might come with rails). Thoughts?

In my experience, talking specifically about the added lift of the systems, you do lose a bit of stability being higher off the ski. You do gain a bit of turnability.
I have 10mm lift on my Cham107 and like it...
