Thanks for the good wishes, too you as well. You take this place way too seriously James. Approach it as you would a McRib. Savor the bites with with a devil-may-care attitude knowing it's not helping your waistline.

Look both ways before crossing the street, btw, as you exit. Cross only at crosswalks. And those suckers are real quiet.

Uber Victim Stepped Suddenly in Front of Self-Driving Car

The Uber had a forward-facing video recorder, which showed the woman was walking a bike at about 10 p.m. and moved into traffic from a dark center median. "It’s very clear it would have been difficult to avoid this collision in any kind of mode,” Sylvia Moir, the police chief in Tempe, Arizona, told the San Francisco Chronicle.

"The driver said it was like a flash, the person walked out in front of them," Moir said, referring to the backup driver who was behind the wheel but not operating the vehicle. "His first alert to the collision was the sound of the collision."

F1 cars no longer have traction control but the data is still collected. Assuming a self-driving F1 car was tied into all the systems then I don't think there's any question a machine learning driven car would be faster especially after millions of simulated runs because it could precisely explore the limits without fear. On race day the AI car would make a perfect start and lead the entire race until it wins or a lapped car takes it out.

The other half, you're fucking assholes, and I can't think of a good reason to be in the same virtual space as you.

Anyone who knows who I am and really wants to get a hold of me, I ain't hard to find. When in doubt: go for it.
I am here to ski and ride bikes with like minded individuals of which I have met plenty. Awesome times the last few weeks and spring skiing to come.

it would take around a week before people figured out that if they saw a self driven car driving, they could cut them off and the computer would automatically jam on the brakes. For lane changes, and just for fun (because that's how most folks are, right?)

Jaywalking around self-driving cars would be a hoot (once they get shit figured out of, this lady getting killed proves it's not that time quite yet).

Yep the really tricky part of the self driving Uber software will be be dialing in the correct level of having learnt to drive in Somalia to it.

Random stops, turns made from wrong lanes, veering wildly across street to pick up some cell phone waving douche bag at opposite curb... that kind of shit.
