    DIY CAST boot mod

So I dig this CAST thingy.
I want to make (something resembling) tech inserts in my tecnica mach1's and Lange ZA boots. The tecnicas have hollow soles, whereas the Lange's have solid ones, so I'll start with the latter. If it works out i can try to do the same to the hollow mach1s.

Anybody ever made their own inserts? Tips/Tricks/Ideas?

(Before you ask: Im in Europe so shipping the boots to the cast guys is not really an option)

Don’t the Mach 1s have replaceable soles? I thought the Cochise tech soles fit them.

Nope that was the old (14/15) mach1. The new mach 1 has the same replaceable soles as the new cochise, but there the tech fittings are in the boot rather than the sole.

I read on an internet forum that SOLE in Chamonix do CAST conversions. This may or may not be true...

That's a cool mod, and it might work with non-solid toes. Keeping that in mind. I'll need a better workshop for that though.
