    The Official Ice Cream Thread

Haagen Dazs is my favorite brand currently. Pistachio in the sweet cream or the pineapple coconut. Holy cow it hits the spot.

    What say you?

I say that the cardamon ice cream or gelato (can't recall which) at Sticks market on Donner Lake is outstanding. Should be the next big flavor when people get tired of salted caramel. I haven't run into it anywhere else.

For store brand Cedar Crest Chocolate Malt is my favorite. But for any ice cream homemade can't be beat.

There's never been an official Ice Cream Thread until today, whoa.

I'm a chocolate chip guy. Have definite thoughts on the topic. Let's see how this goes before I get into it.

Sounds great. My favorite has always been chocolate chip mint. Don't know why, as I'm not normally a fan of mint. Chocolate chip cookie dough is another favorite. Or just raw cookie dough. But that may be more for the confession thread...

That Tillamook mountain huckleberry stuff would be better with 3x the huckleberry swirl. Maybe 4x. I might be a sucker for the mix ins (Cold Stone FTW), but IMO, Ben & Jerry's >> Haagen Dazs.

Talenti Gelato is pretty good too. Anyone that brings Halo Top into this discussion can get fucked. That stuff is awful.

I'm a traditionalist. I rarely eat ice cream unaccompanied by something else, and as a side item nothing beats Haagen Dazs vanilla. That said back in the day a bowl of deliciousness was often prepared with HD Chocolate, HD Coffee, and a large spoonful of Skippy Creamy swirled together.

    Cold stone is amazing.
Ice cream is my kryptonite. My favorite is Dreyers slow churn Rocky Road. I can sit down and eat a quart in no time, and then be sick af but so happy. I haven't done that in years though. I pretty much like all ice cream though.

Graeters is the bees knees, but a little bit pricier so just occasionally. HD Pineapple-Coconut is one of my go-to's as well as B&J's or the mass market Dreyers staple.
This Halo-Top thing is still up in the air for me. Great flavors, less calories, but the taste is just a little off. Give me the added calories and might it just right.
On the OG tip, growing up I loved the Carnation Chocolate Malts. Do they still have in Calif,?Cuz I have not seen them in forever.

Just "pretty good?" Shit, that stuff is close to the best. Breyers is also damn good, but, Talenti is like crack it's so good. Can't even buy it, really, or I'll eat the whole damned pint. Chocolate raspberry.

The Halo Top really is low calorie and the flavor is not far enough off on the vanilla bean for me to care.
Look at it this way - now you can eat twice as much ice cream with only the same amount of guilt.

Well, you have to buy 5 to get that extra discount sometimes. So yeah.
