I was wracking my brain to come up with Repo Man, and couldn't, thanks.
While people are list some great movies, and arguably best movies, are they really near the top of you favorite list?
Deer Hunter is a great movie, as is Apocalypse Now, but not something I would want to watch very often, were as Reach for the Holy Grail and Life of Brian I could watch until I die...not that I need to, I can do a good bit of the dialogue by heart.
I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...iscariot

Videodrome made me feel pretty weird for quite a while after seeing it, I guess that counts for something?

Favorite = OG version of The Day The Earth Stood Still.
Most Watched = A Bridge Too Far. I was stationed on Adak out in the Aleutian Islands and for several months that was the only movie on the base. So we watched it every single night."Zee damn fat skis are ruining zee piste !" -Oscar Schevlin
"Hike up your skirt and grow a dick you fucking crybaby" -what Bunion said to Harry at the top of The Headwaters

Favorite? Don’t know, but it’s impossible to beat these obvious classics:
The Jerk
Caddyshack
Goonies
Dazed and Confused
Animal House
Sixteen Candles
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Indiana Bones and the Temple of Poon
Lawrence of Alabia.

Dazed and Confused is a great call. Anytime it’s on and you come across it, you’ve gotta leave it on and finish it.
This thread proves why “favorite” is a dumb concept... I could probably narrow it down to 20.I ski 135 degree chutes switch to the road.

The Dark Knight.
Heath ledger plays not only the best joker but does simply a phenomenal acting job in that movie. I even heard that he dedicated so much to it that he started to go a bit looney even after the movie which is somewhat common with certain actors and strategies.
Otherwise any movie directed by Quentin Tarantino

Butch Cassidy and Silence of the Lambs are both on whatever list I have, good calls.

But I saw an old couple being visited by their children, and all their grandchildren too. The old couple weren't screwed up. And neither were their kids or their grandkids. And I don't know. You tell me. This whole dream, was it wishful thinking? Was I just fleeing reality like I know I'm liable to do? But me and Ed, we can be good too. And it seemed real. It seemed like us and it seemed like, well, our home. If not Arizona, then a land not too far away. Where all parents are strong and wise and capable and all children are happy and beloved. I don't know. Maybe it was Utah.

So how can someone list Dazed and Confused and not list Up in Smoke, which is THE stoner movie?
