How can there be only one???

    Favorites among the properly acclaimed:
    - Pan's Labyrinth
    - Swept Away (original)
    - Citizen Kane

Cult flicks that I keep returning to:
    - Tapeheads
    - Rock'n'Roll High School
    - Dark Star (prefer theatrical version, not the shorter director's cut)
    - Shakes the Clown

Somewhere in between acclaimed and cult:
    - Dead Man
    - Hudsucker Proxy
    - Blues Brothers Movie

    Already mentioned and worthy:
    - Mulholland
    - Bill & Ted (first one)
    - Shawshank
    - Strangelove

The Third Man is another favorite of mine.

    Casablanca is a guilty pleasure.

Nothing guilty pleasure about Casablanca. It was the most popular movie in survey after survey for 50 years. Still mostly holds up too. I am shocked! Shocked!

And let' not forget Being There, with its ridiculous premise that an imbecile could actually be considered for the presidency of the US.
